Waiting on Wednesday (20)

"Waiting on Wednesday" is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

Here's what I'm excited for today:
Wired (# 3 of the Skinned series)
by Robin Wasserman
Released: September 14, 2010

Summary from Baker and Taylor:
"Lia is back at home, pretending to be the perfect daughter, but she has become the public face of the mechs, devoting her life to convincing the world that she and others like her deserve to exist, until shocking truths are revealed, forcing her to make a life-changing decision."

If you haven't read Skinned and Crashed yet, you really really should. They are great science fiction books that pretty much anyone can get into. It's all about a world where people can save their loved ones from death by transplanting their brains into a mechanical body. The main character, Lia, was forced there by a car crash and has been forced to learn how to deal with a new reality. It's very intense and action packed. I can't wait for this next book!

I'm waiting to get my hands on this, too. I'm actually a bit surprised that this trilogy is so ignored! The concept is pretty original and while it has some issues, they're still pretty addicting!

Anyway, I saw your post on my blog! I'm following you, as well!
